Microwave kiln
This microwave kiln allows you to melt glass in a standard microwave oven to create jewellery, or glass components for jewellery and other creative purposes. This technique of 'glass fusing' is now available for everyone. With the microwave kiln there is no need to buy a special, expensive fusing kiln, any simple, cheap microwave will do the job.
The microwave kiln has an inner diameter of 8cm and an outside diameter of 12cm. It is made of Soluble fibre, which is ultra light and non-hazardous. The lid has a special black coating on the inside that makes it possible to obtain extremely high temperatures inside the kiln, causing the glass to melt within several minutes.
It is recommended that you use a different microwave to the one you cook food in.
